Here we go AGAIN

So here we go again. Different baby, different issues. Jordan is now 7 months old, and is not bearing any weight on her legs, she cannot sit at all unassisted, and she does not push up onto her hands when on her belly. She has gone for an x-ray, and it shows her left hip cup is shallow. Doctor is not sure if that is the cause of her not putting weight on her legs, so we have to see an orthopedic dr. (October 17th) She also wants Jordan to see Neuro (the Neuro she is seeing deals with the brain and muscular portions of the body) to rule anything out (cant get her in until Nov 30th~ridiculous) And now she has to start Physical Therapy. I am not sure if she will go for PT at Children's or Oakwood Hospital.

UGH, I keep thinking, how can we go thru this again. I know we will do what we need to for her, but I'm so afraid I can't be strong again. I just don't understand why this is happening. Are we doing something wrong?? I just don't know anymore. I will keep everyone updated as new information is given to me.

Andrea, the lady who did Nathan's OT is awesome, I asked her if she does PT as well as OT, and she said she doesn't but knows some good PT people. She has offered to come by Tuesday night to sort of assess Jordan to give me some peace of mind/clarification. I am hoping this will give me a little more insight. Please give me strength to handle this.

Jordan learned to clap

Jordan knows how to clap. You may have to ask her a few times, but she will eventually do it.

She also know how to give high fives.

Jordan knows how to peek a boo

Jordan knows how to play peek a boo. It is really cute. She will put her blanket over her head, and when you say peek a boo, she will pull it away to look at you, laugh and do then repeat. It is adorable.

Nathan's first day at Preschool (3yr program)

Today was Nathan's first day of Pre School. I think that was a rough day for all of us.

Nathan's first day of Pre School

Today was Nathan's first day of Pre School. It was only an hour to get the kids used to being away from their parents. I think that was the longest hour of our lives. We got to school about 20 minutes before he scheduled time, so we could get some pictures on him outside the school.

Once we got to the room, Nathan put his backpack on his hook, and started checking things out. I was 100% sure he was going to be okay, because he loves to be around other people. Boy I was wrong, as Kevin and I were telling him by, he started crying. I felt so bad. But we stayed strong and left. I of course was balling my eyes out. When did he get so big?? After dropping him off, I went to my moms house for that hour so I could pick him up. I couldn't wait to go and get him. That was a LONG hour. As I was waiting in the hallway, I coul hear a kid crying, as I listened, I realized it was Nathan. Poor thing. He was not happy. The teacher said it takes some kids up to 8 weeks before they start feeling comfortable. I hope it doesn't take him that long. I want him to enjoy himself and make new friends.

10/04/11~ Well it's been 3 weeks, and Nathan has stopped crying when he gets dropped off. (He actually didn't cry last week either) We make sure we tell him the day before and in the morning who is dropping him off and who is picking him up. I think that seems to help him.

Jordan's first time rolling over

Belly to Back:

She finally rolled from belly to back today. We were at grandma and papa's house when she did it. After we cheered her on, she got excited and did it a few more times. Now we don't have to roll her back when she gets frustrated. (Even Nathan would roll her back to her back when she would get upset)

****10/03/11~Even though she knows how to roll from belly to back, she doesn't always do it. Most of the time she will just throw a fit until someone turns her back over.
