Well talking with the doctor today, she said we can start Nathan on rice cereal AFTER his bottle. So tonight after he ate I mixed what little formula he left over in his bottle with some rice cereal. I grabbed the camcorder turned it on, and away we went. I put a little bit on his spoon and into his mouth. He gave me this funny little unsure face, but he ate it. So I gave him a little bit more. He did excellent, and toward the end he was loving it. Everytime the spoon would come to his mouth, he would open it wide and put his arms in the air. I would say it was a very successful first time. He even kept it down.

Nathan's first Tiger's Game
We took Nathan to the Tigers game. It was his first time there, and we had a blast. He was such a good boy. We got tons of pictures.

They gave him a certificate for his first game. We only really watched the game for maybe 20 minutes~Lol He loves to be walked around if we are outside, so bascially we walked around the ball park the whole time, getting tons of pictures taken. He even went on the merry go round.
I can't wait to take him next year.
Nathan's first tooth came in
We noticed for the past couple of weeks that Nathan has been drooling an awful lot, and gumming everything he can get to his mouth. On Sept 22nd, we noticed a white hard spot on his lower gums. We assumed it was his first tooth. Well we were right, he just cut his first tooh. It has emerged from his gums today. I can't believe it. Already our lil man is getting teeth. We also see another white spot next to this one. Won't be long before #2 emerges.

Nathan's favorite song is the Itsy Bitsy Spider
For the past week and a half we have found that Nathan's favorite song is "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" Anytime he starts crying or throwing a fit, we sing the song to him, and he stops. He hangs on every word. even when driving, if he starts screaming and crying, we break out the spider song, and it soothes him. I think I sing that song at least 10 times a day~lol Kevin noticed me humming it the other day when I was cleaning.
Of course I didnt realize I was doing it. I need to record it to a disc so I can play it over and over again, cause my throat is hurting from all of this singing~Lol Even my mom and Bryan sing it to him to calm him down. They think its funny, that it works so well.
He just amazed me more and more
As I am sitting there feeding my lil man, I couldn't help to realize what a good boy we had, and how much my love grows day by day. I never knew I could love SO much!! He is such a lil sweetheart. He just makes me laugh. He has been trying to hold the bottle on his own. While he hasn't mastered it yet, he tries at every feeding. Whats funny is, he will hold the bottle, and pull it toward him and put it in his mouth take a few drinks and takes it out of his mouth, and repeats it throughout the whole feeding. It makes for longer feedings, but HEY whatever he wants as long as he eats.
We also think he is cutting his first tooth. For the past few weeks, he has been drooling an aweful lot and gumming EVERYTHING he can get his mouth too. We can see a little white spec on his gums, and when I feel it, it feels hard. So I think its safe to say a tooth is emerging. I am going to ask the doctor about it on Monday to confirm it.
Nathan is also trying real hard to flip from back to belly. He can get all the way on his side, but can't figure out how to make it all the way over. I am sure within the next few days he will master it. Plus he is a big squirmer. We can put him length wise in this crib at night with his feet toward the left side of the crib. And when we wake up to get him out, he is laying all scrunched up width wise on the right side of the crib. I have a feeling we are in BIG trouble when he can start getting around.
I can't believe how long Nathan is. He is 24 1/2 inches long. So getting winter stuff is a little bit of a issue. He has about 12 pairs of 3-6 month pajamas we received from the baby shower and maybe 4 still fit. I mean they all fit width wise because he is SO skinny, but length wise he is busting out of them~lol So we have been putting him in 6 month or 6-9 month clothes which still looks funny because in the middle it is so HUGE he looks like he is swimming in it, but length wise its about perfect!!!! I have a feeling that clothes will be a issue for us in the long run~Lol
Yesterday I went to moms house after work to pick Nathan up, but he was still sleeping in the bouncer. And since they are now watching my niece Adryan she was still over and awake when I got there. So I sat on the couch and was playing and talking to her for about 10 min. when Nathan woke up. Oh wow, he was not happy, he had his eyebrows scrunched down and this frown, and gave me this look like "why are you holding another baby, and not me, your my mommy" I thought it was so cute and funny. So I handed Adryan over to Bryan and picked Nathan up. He was SO happy I was there, and that I was holding him. Later that evening Nathan had his first "playdate" We both enjoyed ourselves. I found this mommy team on yahoo, that is in the area, and decided to join them. I know he is too young to actually play, so really this is more for me to meet and become friends with other mommies. But I feel if he is around other kids, he will be more comfortable playing with them when he gets older. The playdates are for an hour every Tuesday evening. Which is perfect, since Kevin is at darts, and it gives Nathan and I something to do outside the house. We also have MNO (Moms night out) once a month.
Tomorrow Kevin and I are taking Nathan to his First Tigers Game. We are really excited we can take him this year. Even though we know he is not going to remember it, we will have the pictures to show him that we took him to a game every year since the year he was born. I just hope he does a good job and doesn't cry the whole time.
Wow..I didnt realize I had so much to say. I love to brag about our lil man. Each day is a new adventure for us. I am so glad we have him in our life!!

Nathan's favorite show is Go Diego Go
Nathan Loves Diego!! He will sit there and watch the whole episode. Its so funny. Even if he is screaming his head off, turn on Diego, and he stops. Its too funny. I think we have about 6 episodes taped on the DVR.
