Comparison Data

I don't by any means compare one to the other. They are individuals and each of them grow, and do things at their own pace. I thought it would be cute to do some comparisons of them.

Here are my beautiful children when they were born. You can totally tell they are related.

Here are the kids in their First fourth of July Bib!!!

Here are the kids in the same Thanksgiving outfit

And in the same Christmas jammies

I am glad she got some use out of a few of Nathan's outfits

And now onto weight. I know this doesn't matter, but it always amazes me that when Jordan turned 6 months she was 5 1/2 pounds more than Nathan was a 6 months. Our little man worked so hard, and went through a lot to gain weight. I thank god everyday, that Nathan is healthy and over that hurdle.

At Birth Nathan was 8lbs 7 ozs and Jordan was 7lbs 13 ozs.

At 1 month, Nathan was 9lbs 6ozs and Jordan was 8lbs 10ozs

At 2 months, Nathan was 10lbs and Jordan was 9lbs 12ozs

At 4 months, Nathan was 11lbs 2ozs and Jordan was 13lbs 12ozs

At 6 months, Nathan was 11lbs 11ozs and Jordan was 17lbs 5ozs

At 10 months, Nathan was 14lbs 14ozs and Jordan was 18lbs 1ozs

And here are our beautiful children today. Nathan at a healthy 32 pounds and Jordan at a healthy 19 pounds.

Jordan's ENT Appointment

Jordan seen ENT (ears, nose, throat doctor) today. He checked her out and did not notice any puss pockets around her ear drum. He did see fluid in her ears. It could be left over from her last ear infection, or from her other 2 ear infections. He put her on stronger antibotics for 14 days, and we have to go back to see him on Feb 7th at 4pm. If the fluid is still there, he may want to put tubes in her ears. I guess we have to wait and see then.

I have mixed feelings on the tubes. I know its an easy thing to do, and that kids bounce back quickly, but I am scared about them putting her to sleep to have it done. They had a hard time for her MRI. But we will cross that bridge when we get there. It may not happen.

I am also wondering if her having the fluid is causing issues with her balance, and that is contributing to her lack of movements in trying to crawl, or even catch herself when shes falling over when sitting.

Feb 7th can't get her fast enough.

Jordan's Growth from 02/23/11 through 01/14/12

01/14/2012 - 19 lbs. @ her follow up Doctor appt for her ear infection

01/12/2012 - 18 lbs. 4 oz. @ her MRI appt.

12/29/2011 - 18 lbs. 1 oz. @ Took Jordan to the doctor today. NOTES: She has had a rash for a few weeks now, and I really don't think it is a diaper rash. Plus she hasn't felt to good since Monday night. Doctor Levy said the rash is actually a staph (staff) infection, and gave us some gel to put on 3 times a day. Plus she has another double ear infection, so is on antibotics for 10 days along with Albuteral through her Nebulizer 3 times a day. Poor thing, hope she gets better real quick.

08/15/2011 - 17 lbs. 5 oz. & 26.25 in. & Head: 42.75 @ 6 month well appt. NOTES: Jordan is right on target for her weight and her height. She is a little behind with her sitting, and she should be able to stand while holding onto you. She cannot bear weight on her legs, so DR. ordered an x ray to check her hips.

08/01/2011 - 15 lbs. 6 oz. NOTES: Jordan wasn't feeling too well for the past 10 days, so we took her to the doctor. She has a pretty bad cold, and the doctor said it takes babies a longer time to get it out of their system. I hate seeing my poor baby sick.

06/27/2011 - 13 lbs. 12 oz. & 24.75 in. & Head CM: 41 @4 month well appt. NOTES: She is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height.

04/21/2011 - 9 lbs. 12 oz. & 22.25 in. & HC = 37.75 @2 month well appt. NOTES: Growing up so fast. She is right on track.

03/24/2011 - 8 lbs. 10 oz. & 21.50 in. & HC = 36cm @ 1 month well appt. NOTES: She is doing so well, and growing like a little weed

02/28/2011 - 7 lbs. 8 oz. & 20.50 in. @ her first doctors visit

02/25/2011 - 7 lbs. 3 oz. & 20.25 in.

02/23/2011 7 lbs. 13 oz. & 20.25 in.

Jordan's MRI

A little back story. One of the reasons, I haven't been on here much updating this site, is because we have been so busy with work, and the holidays, and with Jordan. She has been delayed in her Gross motor skill. She was unable to sit unassisted, and has really weak muscle tone. If you sat her up she would just flop right over, and she doesn't put any weight on her legs. Her PCP recommended she start PT and see Neuro. (Just to rule anything out) PT went well, she was there for 60 calendar days (about 20 visits) (all my ins allowed) and after is able to sit unassisted, but doesn't know how to catch herself, and still cannot bear weight on her arms and legs. (She will be starting PT again with Tote in February) She has also been dealing with double ear infections (3 so far), bad coughing fits, which makes her throw up her bottles. A few months ago, she had pertussis (whooping cough) and Croup. It seems she is always getting sick poor thing. Doctor thinks she also may have asthma. So right now she is on an Asthma med through a nebulizer at night before bed. She is also in Zyantec (mild reflux) and Zyrtec (allergies). She takes Alburtal through the nebulizer if she needs it. She seems to be better when on these meds (and not having ear infections). After 3 months of being healthy, we will be taking her off 1 of the meds, and see how she does. Then hopefully off the rest in due time.

After seeing Neuro, they wanted to do an MRI.(She also had a sweat test done, along with blood/urine workups) Again, just to rule things out. That was scheduled for today: January 12th. It was rough. They had a hard time finding a vein, and when they did they got the blood work they needed, but then the vein blew. I have never heard her cry that way before. Broke my heart. Luckily, they said she was old enough to try the oral meds that put her to sleep. Only problem with that they can't control the meds if she starts waking up during the test. We decided to try it anyway. I did not want them poking and prodding her again. Luckily the oral meds worked, and she fell right asleep and stayed asleep the entire time. We went home after she woke up and was able to drink some juice and keep it down. She slept most of the day, and did get her appetite back quickly. lol

Her PCP called me Friday (01/13/12), and said the scan came back norma. (Yay) There were 3 small cysts, but that's nothing to worry about. She said everyone has cysts in their brain, I guess. I still have to call end of week, to get a more detailed report from Neuro. (I'm not waiting until March (her next appt) to get the detailed info) She also said they seen some spots around her right ear drum and asked if she recently had an ear infection. I told her that yes she just got over another double ear infection. She wanted me to bring her in Saturday for a recheck, that she may still have an infection.

Saturday rolls around and I took her in, she said her ears are cleared of the infection, but the right ear does show 3 small pockets of possible fluid or something. (I think she called them puss pockets) She said it could be something (again don't remember the word) that could grow, and wrap around the ear drum, which is not good. So we now have to see an ENT. I am freaking out. I know it may not be anything, and I shouldn't get all worked up, but seriously what now??? She has been through SO much already, and is still dealing with Neuro, and therapy, and all these other issues. Why does she have to go through all of this? I was able to make her ENT appointment for Wednesday (01/18/12) at 3:45pm. I hope it gets here quickly. I need answers. I just don't know how much more this little girl take?

Family Vacation to Frankenmuth

Kevin and I took the kids to Frankenmuth for the week. (Jan 2-Jan 6) It was a much needed getaway vacation. Kevin, grandma (s) and the kids headed up Monday, but since I had to work Tuesday, I came up after work. Nathan and Jordan were so excited to see me.

Nathan played a lot of his favorite game....Deal or No Deal

While Nathan played deal or no deal, Jordan relaxed!!!!

Nathan really like playing air hockey with Kevin.

Here is our pretty little girl.  We liked watching the boys play air hockey.

Besides playing in the water with us, there is not much for Jordan to do, because she doesn't walk yet. So she pretty much relaxed in the stoller, and played with her toys

She did get to go down the bumpy slide with daddy.  I think she liked that.

My mom did pretty much what she said she was going to do. Lock herself in her room, and get plenty of rest. We didn't see her too much on the play floor, but we did have adjoining rooms which was nice. Nathan especially loved being able to go from our room to her room. It was cute.

Nathan and Kevin did a lot of swimming. I took Jordan in the water a few times, but didn't stay in long. She was getting over a double ear infection, and I didn't want her to get too cold.

Wednesday night out friends came up to stay until Friday. It was really nice to have them up there with us. I hope we can plan more vacations together.

We took the kids to play putt putt.

Jordan even got in on it a little~Lol

And we did remember to take a few family photos.

Here is Mark, Elke, Alivia and Bella....
We went to dinner later that day, and poor Nathan was so tired. He barely ate, and just wanted to sit on my lap. I loved the fact that he fell asleep on me. Poor guy was so exhausted from all the fun he had.

Here is a sleepy Jordan eating some mashed potatoes.  Yummy!!!!!

He didn't even budge when I laid him down on the bed after dinner.

We all had a really good time. Nathan also played on the slide, played some ice hockey, basketball, and other fun fast games. He racked up a lot of tickets. He ended up getting about 5 different toys with all those tickets, and it was really nice of him to share with his sissy. He got her 2 stuffed animals.
My favorite picture of this trip has to be this one.....

Nathan has been passing gas like crazy for the past few months. He doesn't realize he should do it in the bathroom, and not wherever, and whenever you want~lol (He is going to hate me for outing him when he's older~lol) He is truly a stinking little boy. I always tell him he's ranke. I found it so hilarious and fitting that they happen to give us a room with the word Ranke on it. It's like they know....

Here are a few more pictures by our room.

And what trip to Frankenmuth is complete without a Cheese Haus shot.....

We had a good time. We will be going back the end of April for 2 nights, and I can't wait.

01/18/12-we have been back for 2 weeks now, and not a day goes by where Nathan says he's sad, and wants to go back to Frankenmuth. I think The Bavarian Inn is his favorite place to be.

Some Randoms & Happy New Year!!!

Here are a few random pictures I came across and thought they were cute, so I had to post them.

A friend at Kevin's work made Jordan and outfit, and it finally fits her.  I just had to get a picture of how cute it looks like on her.

And I absolutly LOVE the ruffle butt....

And of course Nathan had to get a few pictures taken as well.  He looks so adorable.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
WELCOME 2012!!!!!

We had a great 2011.  We expanded our family, and now have a wonderful daughter, to add to our loving family.  I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store for us.  We didn't do too much today.  Just laid around the house and relaxed.  Especially Nathan....

For some reason all he wanted to do was play in his shirt and underwear.  Here he is now walking around with his backpack on.  This little boy is too much :)

And here are a few random pictures I found of our beautiful daughter.
