Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope you all had a fun and safe night. Here are our two babies all dressed up.

Poor Jordan she was sick for her very first Halloween, so we weren't able to take her out as planned, so grandma (W) came by to watch her for us, so Kevin and I could take Nathan out trick or treating. Even though she did not feel good, she did give me some smiles for the camera. Here is our little lady bug.....

After we took some pictures, it was time to head out. We met up with Brandon, Donovan, and Rudy. Here is a picture of the kids.....

They had a great time trick or treating together. They would run to every house, and just scream ;Trick or Treat. It was really adorable. I especially loved seeing Nathan and Brandon hold hands. Afterwards, we went back home and passed out the rest of the candy. Had dinner, and a few treats from the collection, then it was time for bed. Nathan had a lot of fun. I think this year he truly understood what was going on, and what to do. I love it.

Preschools Halloween Party

Today was Nathan's Halloween Party at School. They were allowed to dress up and wear their costume. Nathan was a little nervous to be there in his costume I think.

Jordan also came to check it out. But only stayed for about 10 minutes, until class started.

Before class started they took a group picture of all the kids dressed up in their costumes. They all looked so adorable.

I was one of the volunteers for the party, and I helped the kids make crafts. They got to choose from a witch, a Frankenstein, and a Pumpkin. Most of the kids chose the witch, which was the hardest to make~Lol. I had a lot of fun interacting with the kids. Afterwards they played musical chairs. Nathan didn't quite get the concept and was the second or third kid eliminated. He was not happy. Then while the adults setup snacks the kids went into the room to do some stuff. Nathan was NOT happy he couldn't stay by me. He cried quite a bit. I realized we cannot be there when he is in class. He has to be there alone. The teacher agreed. It does make me sad though. I really wanted to be one of those moms, who helped with everything. Oh well, maybe when he is older. We both did have a good time at the party though, and I was happy I could experience it with him

Nathan's first trip to the dentist

Nathan had his first trip to the dentist. He did really well. He was nervous at first, so sat on my lap when they cleaned my teeth, so he could see how easy it was. I was really proud of him. He did a great job. Afterwards we kept saying he likes the dentist, and Dr. K.

They did say his jaw is not hardening at the same time (the sides) Its nothing to be too concerned about right now, it could fix itself. We will see when Nathan is about 6.

Jordan and New Foods

Jordan is starting to show signs, she no longer wants baby food. She will take a few bites and then push it away. I think because their is no real texture she could care less. Of course she still LOVES her bottle.

I have been letter her try new things from our plates. Why not? Today she had some hash browns, and loved them. Later on we made spaghetti for dinner, so I put some aside and once it cooled down, I used the baby grinder to grind it up. She absolutely loved it. Every time I put the spoon close to her she would grab it and shove it in her mouth. I'm excited to keep trying new things with her.

Fire Department Open House

Took the kids to the Dearborn Fire department open house. They had all sorts of things going on. Nathan was able to sit in the police car. (I told him I better NEVER find him in the back seat of one of those~Lol)
He was allowed to tour inside of the bomb squad vehicle.

After we walked around some, and had a hot dog, Nathan was able to use the fire hose. He did a pretty good job aiming it in the hole.

Nathan also got a fire hat, which he absolutely loves. He wears it all the time.

I know he had a good time. Every time we pass by the station, he says he wants to go again. I just hope next year, its a bit warmer.

Dearborn Fire Dept Visit.

Today at Nathan's school, a few fire fighters from the Dearborn Fire department came by in the fire truck to go over safety with the kids. All the kids seemed very interested. After the fire fighters talked, and showed them the gear they wear all the kids headed outside to see the fire truck. We were all able to see what they use to put out fires. The kids were also allowed to walk through the fire truck.

Nathan just loved it. They were also allowed to sit on the front of the truck.

Nathan just loved all the firefighters that were there. He just had to stand by them as they talked all about their jobs. It was really adorable.

Jordan's Favorite Show

Jordan is obsessed with Bubble Guppies. If she is fussy, crying, or playing with her toys and you put it on, she will stop whatever she is doing to watch it. Even if she gets herself all worked up, all you have to do is sing her the intro song, and she will calm down.

I even put a few clips on my phone, for on the go.

****07/11/12 - Update....This is STILL her favorite Show~Lol

Took the kids to the apple orchard

Today was Jordan's first trip to the apple orchard. It was also her first time going on a hay ride.

ImageChef Sketchpad - ImageChef.com

We took the kids to the apple orchard in Erie, Mi today along with grandma, papa, Auntie Tata and Uncle Mike. This is Jordan's first trip to the apple orchard. It was a very nice orchard. They had a lot for the kids to do. Inflatable bounce houses, pony rides, hay stales they can run and jump around in, and a play place with slides, swings, and tricycles. Nathan had a great time. He also got to feed a deer.

We all went on the hay ride, and in the middle of it, got to pick apples from the apple trees.

Nathan loved the hay ride, and picking the apples. Jordan didn't care for the hay ride. She whimpered a lot during the ride. I think because it was bumpy at times.

We spent almost 4 hours there. It was such an awesome orchard for the kids. I wouldn't mind the drive to go back.
