Tawas City

August 21, 2011 - August 26, 2011

We took our annual trip up north to Tawas City, and stayed at my grandma's place. This was Jordan's first trip to Gaga's place.

My parents were unable to make it up. So it was just Gaga, myself, Kevin, Nathan and Jordan. Grandma and Papa came up for a couple of days to hang out with us.

It was real nice having them up there. And I know they had a great time too. They kept saying they wished they could of stayed up longer.

Nathan's favorite was playing in the lake,

and feeding the ducks.

Kevin, Papa, and Nathan even fished a little. This was Nathan's first time fishing. Grandma & Papa bought him his own "cool car" fishing gear.

We didn't really DO a whole lot. We stayed and lounged around the house a lot. Went into town and did a little shopping. The weather was a little too chilly to go into the big lake, and it rained some while we were up there. But all in all we had a real nice time. Hopefully next year we can do it again we everyone.

Nathan's first time fishing

Nathan went fishing for the first time. Papa bought him his own "cool car" fishing gear. He didn't catch anything, but he had a good time.

Jordan & Iced Tea

I had made mention to my mom the other day that Jordan will have to have her first taste of iced tea soon. Nathan was around this age when he had his first taste. So when we went to lunch today, my mom of course had to give Jordan her first taste, since she gave Nathan his first taste.

She was very unsure about it, but soon I am sure she will be an iced tea lover like Nathan and all the ladies in her life.

I have lost track and do not see a way back

I have fell off track and don't know how to get back. I am struggling hard core. And I am starting to feel it. I was at my lowest 196 before I went on my mini vacation in July, ate like crap and gained 4 pounds. I lost those 4 pounds only to again gain 3. I am at 199 right now. After I eat (which isn't good) I get the worst heart burn I have ever had. My stomach is in knots, and crampy, and I just feel awful. You would think that would be awake up call to stop being stupid and get back to where I was. Why is it so hard?? I feel like I am failing not only myself but my family. I want to be healthy for them.

I am afraid to start my vacation this weekend. When I am not at work my eating habits SUCK!!!! Saturday I will be going to the Kenny Chesney concert, and then we leave for Tawas City on Sunday. My plan is: starting Monday to walk everyday to get the newspaper (a mile each way). Also I want go to the "stairs" monument and walk the stairs.(Over 200 stairs~You start by going down all of them (easy) and then you have to climb up (the hard part)) I also plan on making better eating choices while on this vacation.

I am hoping this will jump start me to get my butt back to the gym when I return on August 29th.

Jordan & Banana's

Jordan tried Banana's for the first time tonight. At first she was a little unsure of the texture, but then seemed to enjoy it. She ate the entire container.

Jordan said Mama

Now I am pretty sure Jordan is too young to talk, but I swear she says MOM and MaMa when she babbles. She has been doing it for the past week. And I am not the only one who hears her say it. Kevin, my parents, and Kevin's parents have heard her say MOM. It is really cute. And if you ask her to say mom or mama, she will. I will take it.

I know Jordan is too young to talk, but she says Baba (for bottle). Its too adorable.

Nathan fed Jordan all by himself

Nathan fed Jordan an entire bottle today from start to finish all by himself. He was a huge help to me, as I was busy cooking dinner. He has fed her before, but only for 2 or 3 minutes at a time. He did an excellent job! He is such a big helper.

Jordan & Carrots

Yup, you guessed it...she loved them. She ate the whole container and wanted more.~Lol

Jordan & Applesauce

Jordan had applesauce for the first time, and LOVED it. She ate the whole container. So far there is nothing that she doesn't like. I hope she stays that way. I want her to eat everything and anything like her little brother does.

Jordan's first time in her jumper

Jordan was very restless tonight. She didn't want to lay down, and didn't want to be held. Nothing was making her happy. I had a thought to bring up the jumper Nathan used to have, so she could play. I was hesitant at first because she is only 5 months old, but in the end decided to bring it upstairs.

I am so glad I did. She absolutely loves that jumper. She is all smiles when she is in there playing. She boucnes all over the place. It scares me sometimes. I'm so afraid she is going to throw herself into the sides of it. Here is a picture of her playing in it for the first time.
