Jordan's Therapy

Jordan has been in therapy for a little over a month. She is doing PT and OT on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:45pm Poor little girl hates it so much. She is just not used to being in all these different positions. I was hoping by now, she would stop crying during the sessions, but she still cries. She will cry the entire time she is there. I feel so bad for my little girl, but she needs it to get stronger. She will get there.

Here are a few pictures of her at therapy. Just to show how much she hates it.

In September she will also start PT/OT/ST with Tote again. That will be on Fridays at 10am for 1 hour. The nice thing with Tote is they will come to our house.

Jordan's Tube Surgery

Jordan had to go in for another set of tubes to be placed in her ears. She did every well and it didn't take that long at all. She even bounced back quick. She only had to have 2 doses of Tylenol, but was her same happy self. I am so glad she will start to feel better and will be able to hear clearly again. Let's just hope these tubes stay in for longer than 4 months this time. With our new insurance this cost out of pocket $1500.00.

Here she is before her procedure with a balloon they gave her.

Everyone loved her, and so many nurses and doctors came in to see how cute she is. They even wanted to keep her. :)

Cookie Monster

Took the kids to see Cookie Monster. The Ice Cream shop in Taylor (Mastro's) has characters every so often come out for the kids to see and take pictures with. Nathan was a little nervous at first.

Here it looks like Nathan is keeping Jordan from getting near Cookie Monster which I find really adorable.

Then I was able to get a cute picture of both of them with Cookie!!!

Jordan actually liked cookie monster and was not afraid of him, which surprised me. It was a real nice time.

Detroit Zoo Trip

Today we took the kids to the Detroit Zoo with our Neighbors, Rudi, Stephanie, Brandon and Donovan.  The kids were so excited to hang out at the zoo for the day.  It was another HOT day but the kids did not seem to mind.  They had a lot of cooling off stations which the kids loved.

The 3 Musketeers!!!

It was really nice to all hang out for the day together.  Of course with the heat my head was not happy and I ended up with a migraine.  Other than that it was a great day!!!!

Slowly but Surely, Baby Steps!!!!!

I am getting there...slowly but surely. I have not been to the gym in awhile. My back has been bothering me on and off, and I just haven't been very motivated to get there. I still try to get in a walk everyday if possible, and I am making sure I make smart food choices, and stay within my daily calorie goal.

I can't believe I am only 12 pounds until I am in the "healthy range" for BMI. I never thought I would be this close. I am hoping to be in the healthy range by our vacation, last week in August. But I will not beat myself up if I dont get there.

My doctor is going to be so proud of me. When I seen her last year I was at 199, she said with my large bone structure and height I would only need to lose about another 10 pounds, and that would be healthy for me, and would make her happy. Well I have exceeded her goal. I would like to be between 174 and 177 when I see her (sometime in August). I want the scale to be under 180 (with clothes on of course).

Now for pictures.

I started my journey at 250 lbs (July 2010) As of today June 2012, I am 181. I have lost 69 pounds and had a baby in 2 years. Not too bad at all if I do say so myself :)

Toledo Zoo

Today Kevin, Papa and I took the kids to the Toledo Zoo for the first time.  We were visiting Kevin's grandma who lives in Ohio and decided to make a day of it.  We had a good time, but man was it HOT out. I really like this zoo.  There was so much for the kids to do.  We cannot wait to go back.

We have arrived.  We asked Nathan if he knew where we were at.  He said the Zoo.  I asked how he knew.  He said it says Z O O....that spells zoo.  He is so smart!!

They also had this creek of water the kids could play in and make damns to stop the water.  Nathan loved it.  It was nice to cool off on such a hot day.  We could of spent the whole day right here and be happy.
Jordan got in on the water action too.  She had a blast splashing around.  She is such a water baby.
