Dimples/Cooing

I noticed today that when Nathan smiles, he now has dimples. They are so cute. He gives the biggest smile and those dimples show so well. He is also cooing up a storm. He has been "talking" for awhile now. I can't believe how my lil man is growing. He is becoming such a big boy!!

Nathan's first laugh

My lil man had his first "Official" laugh today. It sounds so cute and adorable.

2 months old

I cannot believe that Nathan is aleady 2 months old. Where did the time go. It seems like just yesterday I gave birth to him. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is now trying to play with his toys, by hitting them as they dangle overhead. He is smiling, and trying to laugh. He makes the cutiest cooing noises. He is just such a joy in my life. I am loving mommyhood. He surprises me everyday. He knows who people are and gets SO excited. He can tell who are strangers and who are family and friends. He is a very laid back lil man. But he does have his moments. Right now we are having a lil battle with sleep at night. He is SO exhausted at night, but fights sleep. I am hoping this will get better. I dont want him to grow up....I want him to stay a lil man forever!!! I love you Naters!!!!!

We also have a new addition to the family. Adryan Pearl was born on July 26th at 11:40pm. She weighed 7 lbs 1oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is such a doll. I am SO in love with her. Congrats Matt and Kristal!!!! Thank you for a wonderful Niece. I am excited that Nathan and Adryan get to meet Sunday. Even though they are 2 months apart, I have a feeling they are going to be great buddies!!!

Nathan's First Smile

I consider today the first day Nathan smiled, even though I am sure this is not the first. I was changing his diaper this morning, and when I looked over at him and said "Hey momma's boy" He looked at me and just SMILED ear to ear. It was SO adorable, and melted my heart. The smiles he given before just seemed to be different than this one. As I kept talking to him, the smile would get wider and bigger. AHHH I am IN LOVE!!!!!

Nathan's first bath

Today was Nathan's first bath since he lost is umbilical cord. We have been washing him up on the bed with a bowl of water and a cloth, but today he needed a bath. We were out and about most of the day and on the way home he threw up everywhere. It was SO bad. It got all over him and in the car seat. When we got home and I lifted the car seat you could see it dripping out the bottom. GROSS!!!! So I got him in the house took him out of the carrier stripped him down and got the bath ready. After making sure the water was just right, in went Nathan. Well he HATED it. He was throwing his hands around, and kicking his legs, not to mention crying and screaming. You would have thought I was torturing him. I was laughing so hard. But I got him all cleaned up and smelling good. Once he was wrapped up in the towel he settled down, and then looked at me like to say "Don't ever put me through that again"

Words of Advice: Do not put the baby tub in the tub. It hurts your back and knees to be on the floor trying to hold a slippery newborn.

Next time we are putting the tub on the table to do it.

Nathan's first 4th of July

Nathan celebrated his first 4th of July. I bought him an outfit that was Red, White, and Blue, and a bib that said "Baby's First 4th" He looked So adorable. He did very well when all the fire works were going off. They didn't seem to phase him at all.

1 month old. Where did the time go??

I can't believe its been a month since Nathan was born. Where did the time go?? He is getting SO big. He is just the best lil boy ever. I can't believe what a good boy he is. He has is own personality, and surprises me everyday. I don't know what I am going to do when I have to go back to work. (July 14th) It is going to be so hard for me, to be away from him.

Sorry so short, I hear lil man crying, must be time to eat. Will post more later.
