3 Months Old

Our Lil Man is already 3 months old. I just can't believe how time is flying. He has his own lil personality, and he knows what he wants and likes. He is now in his own room at night, and sleeping in his crib. We had no transition issues at all. He loves his U of M mobile and will lay there for a good half hour watching and listening to the fight song. His favorite toy is this lil bunny that Kevin has named "buckles" He loves to grab it and put it in his mouth. We have this baby einstein floor play center, that he just adores. I just can't say enough how much I love our lil guy. He is truly a blessing from god!!!

Nathan's first time sleeping in his own bedroom

Tonight we started Nathan in his bedroom in the crib. I was a little nervous, but he did a great job. He went to bed right away, and only woke up to eat. Then after he ate, he went right back to bed. I am SO proud of him. Of course I was not ready to have him so far away from me, but I know it was time. He still met the requirements for the bassinet (up to 15 pounds, and not rolling over) But because he is SO long, He would look all scrunched up when he would be sleeping. I decided that since I was off for Labor day weekend, I would start him in his Crib. I of course checked in on him twice. Ya know to make sure he was still breathing and all~Lol.

It has been 5 nights now, and he is still doing excellent. I even put him down before he is asleep, and he will lay there, and coo for a bit, and then drift off to sleep. Last night 09/02 he scared me, cause he slept from 9:30pm to 4:30am last eating at 7:30pm. Thats seems so long, but maybe he is starting to sleep through the night. He has once before. I guess we will wait and see.

Nathan's favorite toy is Buckles

Nathans favorite toy is a bunny named Buckles. Buckles came from a book set that Kristal gave mom for her house. Well mom was watching Nathan one day and decided to take the bunny out and give it to him. Well from that moment on, the 2 have been inseparable~lol He loves to hold and chew on him. And of course Kevin named the bunny buckles. Buckles goes everywhere Nathan goes.

Happy 30th Birthday Kevin!!!!!!!

Kevin's birthday is August 26th, but I wanted to throw him a surprise birthday party for turning the BIG 30!!!  Today was perfect.  Kevin had to work in the morning, so I was able to get everything done and have the party ready when he got home.

We had a lot of fun, with lots of family and friends. 

Amazing

My lil man is AMAZING. For the past few days I have been teaching Nathan how to open his hands to grab his duck rattle. I made sure I showed him how a few times a day. Well today we were out with grandma (my mom) and he was strapped in his car seat just relaxing so I showed him the rattle and then set it on his belly. All of a sudden he moved his hand down to his belly, felt for the toy, picked it up and put it to his mouth. I was SO proud of him. He did it all my himself. I was AMAZED. So of course I called and told Daddy. Once Kevin got home, he was holding Nathan, so I said "Nathan show daddy how you pickup your toy all by yourself" I put it in front of him, and sure enough he took it from me. He is getting SO big. Where did my lil one go???

Also for the past 2 weeks, I have been reading to him before bed. Last night Kevin was holding him and I asked if he wanted to read to him. He was like NO. (thinking I'm crazy for reading to a 2 month old) Well I went, picked out a book, and started reading. Nathan was watching my every move and listening to the words coming out. After I read him a page I would show him the pictures, and he would look at all the pages. I was focused solely on me and the book. Then when I was done, he yawned, and was ready for bed. So I gave him his binker, rocked him for a few minutes, and he went right to sleep. I am amazed by how much he does already. He is going to be a faster learner and a smart lil boy. We are truly blessed to have him.

Nathan slept through the night tonight. We put him down at about 10:15pm and he didn't wake up until 7:30am I was surprised and shocked. I hope he keeps up the good work~lol.

Nathan found his hands

Well Nathan has found his hands. I was watching him in his car seat while I was driving and he was just staring at them, and then all of a sudden there they went in his mouth. Now he plays with his hands all the time. It is SO adorable. He is also trying to find his feet.
