Movement
This is not the first time I felt peanut. I have had this feeling before, but was not sure if it was peanut, because it did not feel like bubbles or flutters. But after talking with the doctor, she confirmed that what I was feeling was indeed peanut. So now I know its him/her. Today from about 4pm until 8pm peanut decided to lay straight as a board (vertical) And his/her lil feet were just pushing into my gut. I tried everything to get peanut to move, but he/she was having none of it.
Doctor Appointment Yesterday
Yesterday Kevin and I had our monthy appointment. First up was the ultrasound. There were are few things that she had to check that she couldnt at the last ultrasound. We let her know when we first got in the room, that we did not want to know the sex. So as she was looking at everything she said peanut looks GREAT!!!!! Everything she needed to check came back 100%. We have a healthly little one. I got a little nervous though, cause she said the heartbeat was 147. I freaked out, and told her that its always been in the 160's, why was it so low. She said its completly normal, the bigger the baby gets the lower the heartrate goes. Peanut has a strong heartbeat. She even got printer happy, she took 9 pics total. 7 were 2D and 2 were 3D. The 3D ones were really hard to see. She said its because its still early and it makes it harder to see the baby with the 3D image. (I will post the pics later today or tonight) After the ultrasound appt. and as we were walking to a room I asked the tech. if by chance she seen if peanut was a boy or a girl (just curious) And she said because we said we didn't want to know, she didn't look. (Which was fine by me) Afer we were in the room the nurse came in and weighed me. I gained 1 pound. Took my blood pressure, and checked my sugar. (All good) Then Dr. Johnson came in, and measured my stomach, and listened to the heartbeat on the doppler. She said everything is right on track and peanut and I are doing great. That made me every happy. So all in all it was a great day and a great appointment.
My next appt. is Feb 20th and I have to have the glucose test. So I will be there for at least an hour. And I see a new doctor: Dr. Al-Jerdi. (I have to meet all the docs (4 total) because we will not know who is on call the day I go into labor.) I keep tellin peanut he/she has to come on a Tuesday. (thats the day I know 100% Dr. Johnson is on call, and I would love to have her deliver peanut. My friend Elke is the one who referred me to the office about months ago, and she informed me all of the staff is extremly nice. Well she wasnt wrong.

Doctor Appointment
Peanut's Heartbeat was 147BPM. I was scared when the tech and doctor told me about the HB. I mean its usually in the 160's and that seemed like such a drop. But they assured me as peanut gets bigger the lower the HB. They said everything is on track and I have a healthy LO.

They Changed it
Well Kevin and I went to the doctors yesterday for another appointment. All went well, I lost another pound!!! They assured me not to worry because it happens. We heard the heartbeat again, very strong. A plus was my mom was there and got to hear it. She was just about in tears. I was very happy to share that with her. Peanut was swimming around a lot, but finally chilled long enough to give us a good listen. After we heard the heartbeat, I asked her if they were changing my due date, since the ultrasound tech. said they might. She said yes indeed it is changing from May 15th to May 24th. But as we all know its just a estimate. Our next appt is on Jan. 22nd we have an ultrasound appt at 4:30 and we see the doc at 5:00pm. I can't wait to see peanut again.

First Ultrasound
Well Kevin and I had our first ultrasound appt. It was totally amazing. In just a few seconds on the screen was our little peanut. Everything looks great. It seemed like every min. Kevin would ask the tech "So everything look good" and of course we always got a "yes" response. Peanut is adorable. I am even more in love than before. We seen the heartbeat and it was very strong and at 163bpm. I was just amazed. Peanut looked to be sleeping the whole time, and then I swear he/she let out a big yawn. It was SO CUTE!!!! Thursday marks our 18 weeks. But the tech said peanut is measuring 16 and a half weeks. (my original thought) She said she was going to show the pics to the doc on Wednesday and he will decide if they want to push back my due date. She also said it looks to be too soon to tell the sex. But we advised her that we don't want to know it. So she didn't feel bad she couldn't tell us. I did ask her why I didn't get the 3D, like they told me I would. She said its because things are still forming and the 3D would look scary. But my next ultrasound will be Jan 22 and it will definitly be the 3D. I cannot wait to see our little one again.
