Well Yesterday 10/04 we told our familes. They are SO excited. First we went and told my dad, since he was going out with friends. I said to pop "I have Good news and Bad news" He was like "I don't need anymore bad news" I said "The bad news is It's gonna cost money" He was like "I don't have any money" So I told him "The good news is....I'm pregnant" His face just lit up. He was So happy and excited. After the excited calmed down, I told him, how I was telling mom. Well he decided now not to go out with work, we was coming to dinner with us. I was happy about that.
Next Stop: DH's parents.
SO we got there, and DH helped his dad unload the car, then told his dad to wash his hands. We handed them an anniversary card since their 32nd Anniversary was Wednesday. It read:
Mom and Dad,
Congrats on 32 wonderful years. We love you both very much. We were thinking about it and We wanted to get you a special present for this anniversary, but money is funny right now with the new house and with christmas coming. So in may, you will be getting your present. You will be getting....
YOUR FIRST GRANDCHILD
We had the "Your first Grandchild" covered up. Once they pulled the paper off it, I swear the whole block heard them scream. They are SO happy and excited. They just cried. We loved it.
Next stop: Telling my Mom
So we got to Jon's Goodtime Bar. (We love that place, and know the whole staff) And DH and I were giving pops a hard time, about being there. (Just so mom wouldn't suspect.) Once we got inside we sat down, and Kevin and Bryan were cracking jokes. Then we ordered our food. Then my announcement: I said "Mom I just want to let you know, I have the best husband around...look what he got me" Then I handed her a JCPenney box. (Had a pregnancy test in it) She opens the box takes out the bracelet case, opens it...looks at it, looks at me, back at the box, and then at me again, and says "You?". I smiled and said "Yes". She was shocked. She started to get all red, and started to cry, then liked screamed" She showed all the girls at Jon's. Hugged me and then asked a bunch of questions. She is a happy Grandma. After we ate we made our last stop..With mom.
Last Stop: Grandma E's House
So we got to Gram's house, and chit chatted for a bit, then asked how she was doing. Kevin told her she needs to get better. And I said because you are going to be a great grandma. She was so excited to hear that.
Well we told just about everyone. I finally got a hold of my older brother. He was so excited. Asked me a bunch of questions. Then said "I can't believe my lil sis is knocked up" He is so crazy!!!! I told Kristal this morning. She is excited too.
My mom told me this morning she is buying the crib. I can't believe it. It was unexpected. Our baby truly is not going to want for anything. We are truly blessed.
To Peanut:
I can't wait to hold you in my arms. You are a blessing from god. We have been wishing for you since November 2005. Now you are in mommy's belly growing, and becoming your own person. See you in May my sweet little peanut. We love you.
