Update from the weekend

Nathan did fairly well this weekend. He slept most of the weekend. He was so cute though. He loves the enfamil water bottles. I think they are a comfort to him. He slept with them ALL weekend. And if anyone tried taking them, he would just grip them tighter. We made sure that he was as comfortable as possible. Saturday morning they took out his NG tube, which made him very happy, and Sunday they started his feeds. They started with Pedialyte and he did well, and then they mixed half pedialyte with half formula, and did well. So last night about 1am they changed it over to all formula. They are increasing the amount by 5ml every 4 hours. He did great last night, and seemed to sleep good. We did notice before going to bed that above the incision it was red, and swollen. We were concerned so the doctor and surgeon came in to check it out. Plus every once in awhile he gets a fever of about 102. They said we shouldn't worry, and they will check it again when they do rounds in the morning.

Kevin just called, and said the doctors told him its a little inflamed but nothing to worry about. They are going to give him some antibiotics through the IV to help. He also had his first BM which is a good thing. Sounds like everything is working. Nathan also has his girlfriend Sara as his nurse. He just loves Sara. I will post more tonight or tomorrow morning.
